Traveling across India often exposes a harsh reality for women: the stark absence of clean, reliable restrooms. This widespread lack of sanitation infrastructure forces women to endure immense physical discomfort or risk their safety in unhygienic environments. To directly address this neglected crisis, I designed Suvidha.

Suvidha is a highly portable, easy-to-deploy restroom tent that guarantees a private and secure space for women on the go. Engineered with a stable three-legged base, the structure is purposefully designed to be set up quickly out in the open, adapting seamlessly to various outdoor landscapes. My design focus was on reducing friction—making the tent incredibly easy to assemble, use, and pack away, ensuring a completely stress-free experience.

By carrying Suvidha, women no longer have to depend on unpredictable or unsanitary public facilities. This design is a vital tool for health and empowerment, helping prevent urinary tract infections and dehydration caused by delaying restroom use during long trips. Suvidha is the first iteration of this concept in the subject that deserves attention, research and design.
